About Our Faculty
Bryn Mawr faculty members are global leaders in their respective fields as well as teachers dedicated to cultivating a rigorous and joyful learning environment for students.
Since its founding in 1885, the College has maintained its character as a small residential community which fosters close working relationships between faculty and students. The faculty of scholar-teachers emphasizes learning through conversation and collaboration, blended learning, primary reading, original research and experimentation. Bryn Mawr has more than 40 areas of undergraduate study that combined afford students a choice among 37 majors, 47 minors and four interdepartmental concentrations. Bryn Mawr has two graduate schools - The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, which awards the Ph.D. in six fields - and the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, which awards the Master of Social Service (MSS) degree and the Ph.D. in social work and social research.
